Heather Blount, CVPM, Practice Manager
With a veterinarian for a father, I have always been surrounded by animals. After moving to North Carolina to attend UNCW, I obtained a local position as a kennel attendant and my career path switch directions from there. I have held many positions in a veterinary hospital but chose to obtain my veterinary practice management certification in 2007. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to join the Atlantic Animal Hospital team in 2013 and am happy to have a career that is so rewarding. In addition to my role at Atlantic Animal Hospital, I am actively involved in animal rescue acting as current president of the Coastal Animal Rescue Effort. I share my home with my husband, 2 daughters, our rescue dogs (Foster and Noli) and our cat (Fitzgerald Augustus).
Michelle, Assistant Practice Manager
Since I was 15 years old, I have been working with animals and have held positions in the kennel, reception and as a technician. I have been part of the Atlantic Animal Hospital family since 1993, and while my positions here have changed over the years, my love of animals has only grown. When I am not in the office, I spend my time with my children, husband, 3 cats and sun conure "Mango".
