Doggie Daycare | Groomer
Kelly, Doggie Daycare Technician
This is my second time around at Atlantic Animal Hospital. After leaving for a brief stint in Virginia, I was happy to return to Wilmington and rejoin this team. I enjoy that I get to interact with so many different dogs, and personalities, on a daily basis. Their unconditional love and devotion is amazing. I am currently pursuing interior design and share my life with my wonderful Walker Hound mix, Maeby.
Lindsay, Doggie Daycare Technician- Kennel Department Supervisor
I love working with your pets. Animal behavior fascinates me and it amazes me how much an animal can communicate without saying a word. My position at Atlantic affords me the opportunity to learn about animal care, veterinary care and I get to play with your pups on the play yard. I have previously worked in a grooming/kennel facility and volunteered in animal shelters. I share my home with 2 dogs (Dixie and Chloe) and 2 cats (The Sasparillah Killah and Biscuit).
Jennifer O., Doggie Daycare Technician
I relocated from Topeka looking for a fresh start, and the beach. Luckily, I also got a new job working here. I grew up caring for animals that I found and was happy to see I could obtain a career in my life long passion. I have actively operated my own rescue for reptiles and amphibians where I rehabilitated and re-homed them. Receiving a therapy dog of my own to manage anxiety helped me recognize the health benefits of canine companionship and allowed me to get beyond the constraints of my anxiety. I would love to further my education with a focus on exotic animals, or ornithology, and assist in a bird sanctuary environment.
Jacob, Doggie Daycare Technician
I have always loved animals, and the beach, but it was an internship at the Conservator's Center that gave me the experience and perspective to devote my life to caring for animals. Regardless of the species, my desire is to provide comfort, love and assistance to animals that need it. After working in boarding and animal daycare facilities, I chose to become part of the Atlantic Animal Hospital team in 2016 for the exposure to both the medical and everyday animal care. Here I have the opportunity to bond with your pet on a daily basis and help them when they are sick. I am fortunate to share my home with my wonderful girlfriend, a leopard gecko named Geek, and my great furry canine companions, Murphy and Kong.
There is nothing better to bring you out of a bad mood then cute fluffy cats and dogs. Perhaps, that is why I love grooming so much. I get to care for your pets and make them smell and look great in hopes that they lift your mood as they do mine. I was born in Germany while my father was stationed in the Army, but raised in Wilmington after my father's tour ended. I have trained with a competitive show groomer and worked in both privately owned groom facilities as well as in a veterinary hospital. I appreciate the impact good grooming has on your pet's overall health and well-being, and enjoy that I can make a positive impact on their lives in such an enjoyable way. I am fortunate that my two cats, Scout & Sprout, allow me to live with them, alongside my fiance, Bobby, and Airedale/Otterhound mix, Olive. I am continuing to work toward my master groomer certification and hope to compete in grooming competitions in the future.
